Jeanne Elizabeth Wood
Jeanne Elizabeth Wood, 88 of Uniontown, formerly of Connellsville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa. She was born August 23, 1920, in Smock, a daughter of the late Andrew and Laura Belle Bosley Siesky.
Jeanne was a graduate of Connellsville High School. She had worked at the former Overholt Distillery in Broadford and later worked as a Selector for the Anchor Hocking Corp. Glass Plant in South Connellsville. She was a former member of the Rainbow Girls Bowling League and a member of the Connellsville Presbyterian Church.
Jeanne will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children: Barbara Jeanne Keefer of Uniontown and John Thomas Wood, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Indiana, Pa.; her grandchildren: Stacey Huffman and husband, Richard of Mill Run, Jay Keefer of Farmington, Andrew Keefer and wife, Wendy, Elizabeth Keefer and Laura Keefer all of Uniontown and John Wood; her great-grandchildren: Jeffrey Smith, Benjamin, Emily, Issac and Cameron Keefer and Shawney Dennis and her brother, Robert Siesky of California.
In addition to her parents Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, John Thomas Wood and a sister, Laverne Anderson.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E. Green St. Connellsville, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Marnie Abraham Russell officiating.
A committal service and interment will follow in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
