Jean Polidori Piktel
Jean Polidori Piktel, age 85, of Brownsville, Centerville Borough, Pennsyl-vania, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009 at home with her loving Family by her side. Born on July 2, 1923, in Granville, Washington County, Pennsylvania, Jean was the daughter of Lucia and Augusta Polidori.
On September 2, 1946, Jean married Joseph Piktel Sr. He passed away October 2, 1996.
She was a Homemaker who always kept busy.
She enjoyed being outside and working in her garden.
Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family! Everything she did was done with her family-from walking the beach at the family vacation spot in Ocean City, Maryland, to her very first plane ride with her daughter Gloria, even to spending the day at Kennywood and riding the roller coasters-was done surrounded by those she loved.
Jean also enjoyed going fishing down at the river with her late husband, Joseph.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose sense of humor will never be forgotten.
Mrs. Piktel attended The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville, Pennsylvania.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and her husband, are one son, Joseph Piktel Jr., and two brothers, Madeo Polidori (who was her twin) and Reo Polidori.
Surviving are one daughter, Gloria Coffey of Brownsville; one son, William Piktel Sr. and his wife Becky of Daisytown, Pa.; three granddaughters: Ashley Coffey, Lindsey Coffey and Rachael Piktel Roberts; four grandsons: Robert Piktel, Brian Piktel, William Piktel Jr. and Joey Piktel; and three great grandchildren: Peyton, Dominick and Jacob.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, Pa., where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center, Pennsylvania.
