Catherine Kennedy Amos
Catherine Kennedy Amos, 88 of Connellsville Pa., passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville She was born September 1, 1920 in North Carolina. Catherine was a member of the United Baptist Church in Connellsville and sang in the church choir for many years.
She is survived by two step-sons: LaMonte Keith Amos and Kevin Howard Amos and wife Angela Marie; her niece and caregiver Linda Etheridge of Fairchance and her other caregiver Nancy Shultz of Connellsville; several step grandchildren; cousins Samuel Boyden and wife Madelyn of Dunbar; nephew Junior Woods and wife May of Uniontown and several other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her first husband Charles W. “Dommie” Kennedy and her second husband Rev. Howard Mack Hugh Amos.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Alfred Winfrey officiating.
A commital service and interment will follow in the Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
