A 6-year-old Uniontown girl who suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a minivan in North Union Township on May 23 is now home from the hospital. Rose Williams of Uniontown said her daughter, Olivia Will-iams, suffered multiple broken ribs, a lacerated spleen and a concussion when she was struck by the vehicle shortly after 11 a.m. State police Trooper Douglas Rush said Olivia Williams ran in front of the oncoming vehicle, driven by Jamie J. Keefer, 29, of Uniontown.

According to police, Keefer was traveling north on North Gallatin Avenue when the accident occurred.

Olivia Williams was initially taken to Uniontown Hospital by Uniontown Firemen’s Ambulance for treatment of injuries and was then flown by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Rose Williams said her daughter was released from the hospital Tuesday.

Rush said no charges will be filed against Keefer.
