Nancy J. Muchnok, age 87, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, May 29, 2009. Born May 18, 1922, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Martin Daniszewski and Blanche (Modzewlewski) Daniszewski.

Nancy was once known as “The Poetry Lady” by the listeners of WMBS Radio.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Daniszewski.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Frank J. Muchnok Sr.; a son, Frank J. Muchnok Jr. and wife Carla of Uniontown, Pa.; daughters: Janet Lomax of Uniontown, Pa., Jean Duranko and her husband Steve of Uniontown, Pa., and Marlene Sible and her husband Ron of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; Grandchildren: Robin Powers, John Lomax, Laura Kavan, Wendy Duranko, Stephen Duranko Jr., Ronald Sible Jr., Beth Potocar, Frank Muchnok III, Peter Muchnok; eleven Great Grandchildren; and a loving niece, Helen Barczy of North Huntington, Pennsylvania.

Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today (Sunday, May 31, 2009) from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, June 1, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, until 9 a.m. at which time at which time the Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in the Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, Pa., with the Rev. Father Alexander J. Pleban as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.

Prayer Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday at 3:15 p.m.
