Julia A. (Barczy) Buhaly
Julia A. (Barczy) Buhaly, 83, of Greenock, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in Kane Regional Center, McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Born on August 7, 1926 in Richeyville, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of John Barczy Sr. and Elizabeth Gergo Barczy.
Julia was the loving wife of the late Joseph G. Buhaly.
She is survived by a sister, Rosemarie (Adolph “Ed”) Noga; brother, John Barczy Jr.; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and her devoted neighbors: Lloyd, Angie, and Melanie Serfass and Marge Hart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Helen (Frank) Wagner; and a brother, Emory “Jim” (Helen) Barczy.
Julia was a member of Saint Pius V Catholic Church, in McKeesport and White Oak American Legion Post 701.
Julia was employed as the highest ranked trainee at the National Youth Administration War Production Training Shop in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Balsamo’s in McKeesport, and during World War II at J & L Steel, McKeesport.
Julia enjoyed dancing, baking, family gatherings, holidays and collectables.
A Memorial Service, officiated by Reverend Bill Triebe, and dinner, hosted by Rosemarie and John, were held in Julia’s honor at the Georgetown Centre in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania on Sunday, October 25, 2009 where family, friends, and neighbors gathered to honor and remember Julia, as she will be greatly missed.
“Thank You” to Heartland Hospice and Julia’s wonderful caregivers, doctors, and nurses who helped Julia over the years and during her last days.
We love you Julia, and you will always be alive in our hearts!
Julia was buried at the Sylvan Heights Cemetery in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
