Violet H. (Heater) Veater
0000364732-01-1.jpg Violet H. (Heater) Veater, age 102 years, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at home. Born in West Virginia, Violet was the daughter of Homer and Mintie (Thayer) Heater.
Violet was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin S. Veater; a son, Francis M. Veater; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are four children: sons, Martin R. Veater and his wife Gale of St. Simons Island, Georgia, Donald J. Veater and his wife Betty of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania and William N. Veater and wife Carol of Columbia, Maryland, and a daughter Patricia A. Furbee of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; fifteen Grandchildren; twenty-three Great Grandchildren; six Great Great Grandchildren; a sister, Flora Popka of Newport, Rhode Island; and a daughter-in-law, Paula B. Veater of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pennsylvania on F r i d a y November 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel (time to be announced)
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Saint Anthony Friary at 115 Oakland Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401.
