Virginia Mae Kifer DeRosa, age 84, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born January 25, 1925 in Superior, Pennsylvania

Virginia was a member of Uniontown Central Church.

She was a very devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her!

Virginia was preceded in death were her parents, Clyde Kifer and Anna Shaffer Kifer; her husband, Thomas DeRosa Sr.; a daughter, Sheila DeRosa Collins; a son, Thomas DeRosa Jr.; two sisters: Carrie Martin and Janet Gawczynski; and three brothers, Cecil Kifer, George Kifer and Frank Kifer.

Surviving are two daughters: Beverly DeRosa Fields and husband Larry and Christine DeRosa Glebes and husband Stanley all of Uniontown; six grandchildren: Sherry Schweiss, Larry Collins Jr., Thomas Daniel DeRosa and wife Margo, Kelly Judy and husband Dylan, Stacey Glebes and Amy Glebes; five great grandchildren: Eddie Schweiss, Tyler Schweiss, Thomas Joseph DeRosa, Tanner DeRosa and Kayla Collins; three sisters: Betty Martin, Louise Cornish and Clara Pento; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 7, 2009 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Art Mace officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown.
