Acme man killed in mobile home accident
An Acme man was killed Wednesday afternoon after a mobile home he was preparing to move fell on him in Westmoreland County. James Skovira, 48, had been contracted to remove the mobile home in the Lincoln Heights section of Jeanette.
Officials said Skovira was underneath the home working to attach wheels to it when the building shifted and fell from a jack he had used to prop up the home.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m.
A relative of Skovira found him underneath the mobile home and firefighters responded to the scene and used airbags to hoist the home from Skovira. He was taken by ambulance to Jeanette Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
