Holiday craft show planned

The 31st Greene Academy Homecoming Christmas Craft Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in the academy on North Market Street, Carmichaels. Chairman Kathy Kerr said academy directors and volunteers met Thursday to decorate the 219-year-old academy in the Victorian Christmas theme.

Piano students of Sandy Guritza will provide Christmas music each day. Hartley Inn will operate the academy kitchen, and academy directors will have a hospitality table with cider and cookies.

Crafters contracted to date are Donna Hlebik, homemade scented candles; Kim Prodan and Carolyn Hartley, jewelry, arrangements, ornaments; Renee Imhoff, tole painting; Karen Rishel, grapevine angels, wreaths, towels, etc.; Melanie Miller, dolls, toys, oddities; Shields Herb Farm, dried flowers; Debra Durbin, primitive wooden boxes, signs with stencils; Sue Bartrug, woodcraft, primitive, country; Billie and Tirzan Allen, country Christmas items, jewelry, Christmas cards; JustinTater, candles; Beth Zeth, jewelry with semi-precious stones; Kathy Kerr, decorated shirts, hand sewn items, miscellaneous crafts.
