The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission said that the second phase of construction of the Uniontown-to-Brownsville section of the Mon/Fayette Expressway will require a nighttime closure with a detour on Route 119 north and south. The closure will occur from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Mondays and Thursdays for the next three weeks and end Nov. 20. The general contractor, Walsh Construction, will close the lanes for the erection of steel girders over Route 119.

Traffic traveling southbound on Route 119 will be detoured around the construction zone via the Route 51 exit ramp and back onto the Route 119 south entry ramp from Route 51. Northbound traffic on Route 119 will follow the detour via the Route 51 exit ramp and back onto the Route 119 north entry ramp from Route 51, the turnpike commission said.
