Nancy Grace Kepen Sutton, 94 years, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, November 6, 2009 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born June 29, 1915 in Smithfield, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Sutton had formerly worked as the Manager of The Youth Shop and had been a buyer for Hills Department stores.

Mrs. Sutton was a member of Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and member of the Board of the Fayette County Housing Authority.

She volunteered with the Social Security Administration and American Cancer Society.

Nancy was a former member of Christ United Christian Church in California, Pa., and was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Anthony Kepen and Caroline Polici Kepen; her husband, Louis Raymond Sutton; and eleven siblings: Annie Nesto, Jess Kepen, Vincent Kepen, Inez Jean “Agnes” Duffield, Clara Petti, Beatrice “Bessie” Ciervo, Alfonso Kepen, Della Caputo, Emily Leonard, Mary Ann Lechner, Caroline Demaske.

Surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as their Aunt Grace.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME at 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pennsylvania this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 10, 2009 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Reverend Chris Enoch officiating.

Interment will follow in F a i r c h a n c e Cemetery, Fairchance, Pennsylvania.
