Gary C. Stiner
0000365132-01-1.jpg Gary C. Stiner, age 68, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, November 9, 2009. He was born on February 2, 1941 in Lemont Furnace, Pa., son of Joseph and Mildred (Lowry) Stiner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Jack Bell; and sisters, Iris Lee Krifko, and Barbara Stiner. He also was preceded in death by his beloved dog “Nikki”
Gary was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 14693. He retired from A.C. Moyer Company after 40 years, and prior to that, worked for Jim Works, farming.
He had a passion for farming and raising animals, and had a deep appreciation for the land, and all living things. Gary was a wonderful husband and brother. His family always came first, and meant the world to him.
Left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife of thirty years, Betsy (Wolfe) Stiner; nine brothers and sisters, Larry Stiner and wife Dorothy, Bernadette Crayton and husband Ted, all of Lemont Furnace, PA; Pam Hixen and husband Barry of Uniontown, Pa.; Frances Butler of Colorado Springs, CO; Sue Stiner, Agnes Stiner, Terri Stiner, and Stephen Stiner and wife Jamie, all of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; and Patty Stiner of Uniontown, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David Ray Wolfe and Bessie Wolfe of Mount Braddock, Pa.; brothers-in-law, James “Ray” Wolfe and wife Carol of Dunbar, Pa.; Bill Wolfe and wife Cindy of Uniontown, Pa.; Mickey Wolfe and wife Diana of Mount Braddock, Pa.; and a sister-in-law, Sheryl Watson and husband Ronald of Dunbar Pa.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa. today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m; Thursday from 1 to 9 p.m.; and on Friday, November 13, 2009 until 11a.m., the hour of service.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
