Daniel M. Kachersky
0000365208-01-1.jpg Daniel M. Kachersky, 57, of Rices Landing, Pa., died on Monday, November 9, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.V. Daniel was born on February 24, 1952, in Waynesburg, Pa., the son of Irene Policz Kachersky, Carmichaels and the late Nicholas Kachersky.
On August 5, 1972, Dan married Donna M. Jackson.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly I. Grimes and husband, Jeff, Waynesburg, Pa.; a grandson, Jackson R. Grimes; a brother, Nicholas R. Kachersky and friend, Kathy Reddin, Jefferson; a sister, Judith Ann Kachersky, Waynesburg.
He will be sadly missed by three nieces: Sharna Knapp, Carmichaels, Ashley Kachersky (God daughter), Jefferson, and Brandi Rohrer, Washington and three nephews: Doug Jackson, Beaumont, Tx., Wesley Jackson, and Brian Jackson both of Mentor, Ohio.
Dan was a retired coal miner who had worked at Robena, Dilworth, and the Eighty four Mines. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. Local 1980.
Dan was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Carmichaels. He enjoyed hunting with his daughter, Kimberly, fishing with his brother, Nick and golfing with his neighbor, Jamie Bandish.
Friends will be received at the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, on Friday November 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m, with the Reverend Jacqueline Campbell, officiating.
Burial will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
