She was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2009. She was the third child born of six children. Gwen accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. She attended the Belle Vernon Area Schools and graduated in 1969. Gwen received an Associate’s Degree from the School of Design in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and began working at Kaufmann’s Department Store.
