Ann Busey Foster
Ann Busey Foster, 88, Gwynn Oak, MD, formerly of Brownsville, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at her daughter’s residence. She was born May 3, 1921, in Uniontown, PA, daughter of the late Colston and Inez Jackson Busey.
Ann was affectionately known by family and friends as “Nanny”. She spent most of her life caring for her family, neighbors and friends. Ann was actively involved in Brownsville City Council meetings where she worked tirelessly trying to make improvements in her community.
Ann was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was a faithful and loyal member of the Missionary Board and remained loyal as long as her health permitted. Ann loved her church and depended on them as family as she was striving to do God’s will in her life.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Foster, Jr.; two brothers, Ralph and David Busey; and a sister, Helen Busey Nalle.
In her passage, she leaves to celebrate her homegoing her devoted children, Donald Mason and his wife Bronwnn, and Jacqueline Martin, all of Gwynn Oak, MD; a devoted brother, Alvin Busey of Philadelphia, PA; a loving sister and friend, Ms. Estelle Flowers of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Donnie Martin and Sean Mason and wife Veronica; great grandchildren, Quincy Martin and Jon Conner Mason; niece, Kim Nalle; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., AT MT. LEBANON BAPTIST CHURCH, Baltimore Street, Brownsville, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. conducted by Dr. Herman B. Jackson, Pastor.
Interment in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
