James H. “Herm” Carey
0000365358-01-1.jpg James H. “Herm” Carey, 61 of Continental 3, Uniontown, Pa., died unexpect-antly on Monday, November 9, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born August 13, 1948 in Morgantown, Wv.
He was predeceased by his father, James Madison Carey; brothers, Frank Earl Carey and Clarence Carey; sisters, Betty Shultz and Glenna Austin and great-grandson, Dylan James.
James has been a longtime employee of the Dominion Post Newspaper in Morgantown, Wv. for over 34 years, also employed at the Health Science Center of West Virginia University and Reese Warehouse in Rubles Mill, Pa.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Jane Cupp Carey of Morgantown, Wv.; his children: James “Buddy” Carey and wife, Kathy, whom he lived with, of Uniontown, Pa., Bobbi Jo Martin and husband, Hoyt of Olive Branch, Mississippi and his grandchildren: Rhonda and fianc`, Douglas, Jennifer, Brian, Branden James, Madilynn, Jessica, Carly, Cody, Dustin and Devon. He is also survived by his sisters: Libby Dodson and John
George of Dilliner, Pa., Wilda Metcalf and husband, Gary Metcalf, Carmichaels, Pa., and Janet Carey, Carmichaels, Pa.; brother, Ralph Carey, Carmichaels, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 14, 2009 until 10 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Ernie Dodson officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
