Joseph J. Rudinsky
Joseph J. Rudinsky, 86, of Balsinger, Pa., died Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born September 10, 1923, in York Run, Pa., son of the late Ignatius Rudinsky and Mary Kotulock Rudinsky.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Seitz and Dorothy Darby and one brother, Andrew Rudinsky.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Violet Pavlovich Rudinsky; five children: Dr. Joseph Rudinsky and his wife, Susan of Pittsburgh, Pa., Dr. Matthew Rudinsky and his wife, Donna of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lois Spiranac and her husband, David of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joyce Rudinsky of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Melanie Rudinsky of Hampton, Virginia; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers: Steve Rudinsky and his wife, Diana of Cleveland, Ohio and Thomas Rudinsky of Baltimore, Maryland; a sister-in-law, Frances Clark and her husband, Dan of Smithfield, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, Pa. and served in the United States Navy during WW II. He also was a member of American Legion Post 423, Masontown, Pa., V.F.W. Post Faith Gray McArdle, Masontown, Pa. and the Messmore Gun Club. Mr. Rudinsky was a retired coal miner who worked at Robena Mine and also Consol Coal Company.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, Pa., with the Rev. Father John Butler as Celebrant.
Interment will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance.
