Pavlick Sr. Richard J. Pavlick Sr., 83, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania was born in this area and left as a young man in search of work.

He married once to Doris in 1949, raised his family in Ohio and and returned home to Pennsylvania later in life.

He proudly served in the United States Navy as Seaman First Class in World War II.

Richard became a General Foreman in the Millwright Union (Local 1871).He worked for many companies and spoke often of the NASA wind tunnel in Cleveland, Ohio, Alcor Aluminum and Ford Motor Company to name a few.

He was an excellent father for his children: Cheryl (Pavlick) Schmidt, Marcia (Pavlick) Gilbert and Rick Pavlick Jr., teaching them how to survive and thrive in this life, sharing with them all his knowledge, love and kindness that has carried to their children, his grandchildren: Amber, Joshua, Jason and Wolfe, as well as to his three great grandchildren: Trenton, Zachary and Aidan.

He leaves his sister-in-law, Barbara; brother-in-law, Ray Heike; cousins: Gertrude Kolar, George Pavlick and Gerry Fedutes; and brother, Ronald as well as their families; and friends: Robert, Carmella and Geraldine Van Verth, Irv Roderick and lady friend, Rose Carney, as well as many others from Saint Mary (Nativity) Church, Uniontown Senior Center and St. Vincent DePaul’s where he volunteered recently.
