Alice Grego Bota
0000365486-01-1.jpg Alice June Grego Bota, 78, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away in the Jefferson Hospital, Pleasant Hills, on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Alice was born May 15, 1931 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania the daughter of Sullivan Grego and Angelina Volpe Grego.
She was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and the Saint Therese Altar Society.
Alice did catering and she enjoyed working the spaghetti dinners at the church for many years. Her family and friends enjoyed her wonderful food!
She was known as “Mean” to all of her grandchildren’s friends.
Alice worked at the former Berkowitz Shirt Factory.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Madeline Bebe Grego McMinn
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Joseph J. Bota; two sons: Jody Bota and wife Kathy of Uniontown and Chip Bota of Uniontown; three grandchildren: Lucas Bota, Emily Bota and Alex Bota all of Uniontown who were here pride and joy; brother, Carmen Grego of Uniontown; three very special friends: Fran Bandzuch, Lillian Rogers and Jozie Filiaggi; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401 today from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday November 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday November 18, 2009 until 9:15 a.m. at which time the Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Mill Street, Uniontown, with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak, V.F., Pastor, as the Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Saint Therese Altar Society will recite the Rosary in the Funeral Home this evening at 7:30 p.m.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 17, at 3.
