Loretta J. Burke Grove
Loretta J. (Burke) Grove, age 81, of Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, Pennsylvania and formerly of Kittatinny, Pennsylvania and West Bowmans, Pennsylvania died Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the Blue Mountain Health System Palmerton Campus. Born in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Loretta was the daughter of Chester S. Burke and Edna J. (Shantz) Burke.
Loretta worked as a Day Care Teacher for the state of Maryland.
She was a former member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Klecknersville, Pennsylvania.
Loretta graduated in the Class of 1946 from the former North Union High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
She was a former member of the Bath Lioness Club.
She is survived by two daughters: Gail J. Grove with whom she resided and Wendy K. Sterling of Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania; three beloved grandchildren; two beloved great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Pratt of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and a brother, Edward and his wife Linda of Idaho.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the CAMPTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071-1910 (610.826.2377). The Rev. James D. Anderman will officiate.
Calling hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Parryville Cemetery, Parryville, Pennsylvania.
