Warrants issued in stabbing
State police are searching for two suspects accused of stabbing a Pittsburgh man multiple times in Acme, Westmoreland County, Sunday. State police said warrants have been issued for Travis Pollock, 27, of Somerset and Emily Smith, 21, of Reading on charges of attempted homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and theft after they allegedly stabbed and robbed Robert Biondo.
Police said the incident occurred near Ridge Road shortly after midnight as Pollock and Smith were passengers in a pickup truck driven by Biondo.
While inside the truck, police said Smith and Pollock stabbed Biondo, 53, multiple times and then stole the truck.
Officers said Biondo suffered severe lacerations to his face, neck, chest, arms, wrists and hands.
He also suffered a punctured lung, police said.
An update on his condition was not available Monday.
Investigators said that Somerset police recovered Biondo’s pickup in Somerset following the incident.
