Heather Lynn Gumbert of South Park is engaged to wed Jason Alan Pollack, also of South Park. The bride-elect is the daughter of David and Rita Gumbert of Uniontown.

She is a 2000 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and earned an associate degree in business administration from Penn State. She is studying toward a bachelor’s degree in management at Penn State and is employed with Verizon Wireless in Cranberry as a telesales representative.

Her fiance is the son of Bernard and Karen Pollack of Munhall. He is a 2000 graduate of Steel Valley High School and a 2006 graduate of Point Park College with a degree in secondary citizenship education. He is a technician for Flextronics in Pittsburgh.

An Aug. 14, 2010, wedding is planned.
