Thomas Gerald King, age 42, of Erie, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009 in Erie. Born September 24, 1967 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania he was the son of Lawrence E. King Sr. and Susanna R. Christopher King.

He was affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ.

“Tom” graduated inthe Class of 1985 from Uniontown High School and served in the Untied States Air Force.

He authored a self-help book called “A Place to Call Home” and served on the Board of the Mental Health Association of Erie.

“Tom” also volunteered with Community Access Television.

He was an Electrical Systems Designer by trade.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Samuel Matthew King; and his foster brother, Anthony Jimerson.

Left to cherish his memory are: his father, Lawrence E. King Sr. and his step-mother, Sylvia I. King; his wife, Jacqueline King, and three sons, William Walters, Thomas Tyler and Trevor Lawrence; his brother: Mark King and Larry King Jr.; his sister, Constance King Frankenbery; his step-siblings: Chip Smith, Cindy Bright and Judy Peton; his foster brothers: Edward Jimerson, Richard Jimerson; many other family members.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pennsylvania today (Sunday, November 22) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Monday, November 23, 2009 from 10 until 11 a.m. in THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST in Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Richard Lowther and Joseph Draskovich, Ministers, officiating.

Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Flatwoods, Pennsylvania.
