Uniontown woman arrested for stealing children’s identities

By Jennifer Harr 2 min read

A Uniontown woman who used her childrens’ identities to apply for multiple lines of credit was picked up Saturday in that case, and on two bench warrants for bad checks. In August, Tina Price, 32, was charged with 64 counts of identity theft. In addition to using her childrens’ identities, authorities alleged she used her father’s identity.

State constable Philip Michael picked Price up, and she was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr., who put her in the county’s prison in lieu of $25,000 straight cash bond.

Price’s father went to state police when he got billed for a computer he never bought. During the investigation, police alleged that Price submitted 39 credit applications with her father’s information.

She allegedly submitted an additional 25 applications using the identities of her children, ages 2 and 7.

That investigation found that a warrant for writing a bad check had been issued for Price’s 2-year-old child. That warrant was dismissed when police realized what had occurred.

Earlier this year, Price pleaded guilty in two bad check-related cases, but then failed to show up for sentencing before Fayette County Judge Ralph C. Warman.

He issued two bench warrants for her arrest.

Additionally, she was wanted on a third bad check case, also filed before George.
