Doris M. (Morrison) Leonard
Doris M. Morrison Leonard, 85, of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Born on August 10, 1925 in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, Doris was the daughter of Vincent Ben Morrison and Pearl (Jackson) Morrison.
Doris was a very devoted and loyal wife of 57 years. She was co-owner and operator of Lawrence D. Leonard Dairy Farm where she participated in all the operations and the working aspects of farming.
She was a life time member of the Ohiopyle-Stewart Ladies Auxiliary who served over the years as President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Doris was a member of the Meadow Run Community Church for approximately 60 years and proudly held many positions including Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee, and Choir member.
She was a past member of the Fayette County Sunday School Association.
For all who knew her, Doris was a most caring, loving and compassionate wife, sister, aunt and friend!
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Lawrence D. Leonard (October 10, 2009); brother and sister: Elmer E. “Bud” Morrison and Freeda Morrison Leonard.
She is survived by Sister, Elma Jean Mason of Wakeman, OH and Brother, James Morrison of Cocoheston, OH; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, Pennsylvania today, November 25, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Kenneth VanSickle officiating.
Interment follows in Irwin Memorial Cemetery, Ohiopyle.
