VFW
The Perryopolis VFW Gold Star Post 7023 will hold its annual Christmas party for members on Dec. 12 from 4 to 9 p.m. Those attending are asked, but not required, to bring a new toy for donation to the Marine Corp “Toys for Tots” program.
State champions
Congratulations to Rock ‘n Rolls Senior Level 4 squad, which won the 2009 Pennsylvania champion title on Nov. 22 at the Cambria War Memorial in Johnstown.
The girls also hold two 2009 national championship titles and won a paid bid to the 2009 world championships.
The 2009 senior squad members include: Amanda King, Baylee Richter, Breanna Grachen, Carly Kennedy, Chelsea Pillar, Courteney Protos, Kaley Barota, Kari Jones, Kayla Marsh, Kayla Twigg, Keana Bertocci, Michele Mickey, Miranda McCrady, Rachael Lonce and Rebekah Lonce.
Prom fundraiser
The Frazier High School junior class will hold a spaghetti dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Son’s of Italy. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children.
Frazier chorus
The Frazier chorus will present “A Night on Broadway” in the Frazier High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The concert will feature songs from the Broadway shows “Wicked,” “Little Mermaid,” “Mamma Mia,” “Hairspray,” “Hair,” “Annie,” “Dreamgirls,” “Les Miserables” and “Grease.”
St. Cecilia Church
St. Cecilia Church in Grindstone is continuing its rummage sale today from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The church is located next to the Grindstone post office. For more information, call 724-785-7162 or -724-785-2792.
