Mary C. Rizer
Mary C. Rizer, 77, a long-time resident of New Geneva, Pa., died Thursday, October 1, 2009, in the Uniontown Hospital. Born January 21, 1932 in Wellsville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Milton and Pearl Darnell Ross.
A Catholic by faith, she, along with her late husband, traveled with the Fayette and Hanna Amusements Carnival for over 30 years throughout the country.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her children and their spouses: John and Carla Trautman of New Geneva, Richard and Lydia Trautman of Lake Lynn, Yvonne VanVerth of Point Marion, Mary Michels, Paul and Jackie Rizer, all of New Geneva, James and Mary Ann Rizer of Point Marion, Mary and Chester Flowers of Uniontown, Maxine Radcliff of Grays Landing, and Kathy Rizer and fianc, Ron Metz of Point Marion; a number of grandchildren and their families; two brothers: Charles Ross of Morgantown, W.Va. and Lewis Ross of Washington State; and a sister, Marge Kerns of Rogers, Ohio.
Predeceased is her first husband, Charles Trautman, Sr. in October 1968, her second husband, Raymond E. Rizer on May 4, 2003, a son, Charles Trautman, Jr. and two brothers, John and Ralph Ross.
The family will receive friends in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, today, from 2 4 and 7 9 P.M., and Monday until 11 A.M., the hour of service, with Rev. David Lee Corob officiating.
Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva.
