Perry Township to have clean-up day
PERRY TWP. – Township supervisors announced a fall clean-up day will be held Tuesday. Supervisors Janet Galla and A.J. Boni said they hope people take advantage of the opportunity to discard hard-to-dispose items.
“This is the first time we’ve ever had a fall clean up so hopefully people will take advantage of it,” Boni said during Tuesday’s township meeting.
Veolia, the township’s garbage collector, will collect items residents set out with their garbage.
Items that won’t be picked up include hazardous waste material, paint, tires, batteries and construction debris.
Boni encouraged residents to put the items they wish to dispose of as early as possible, noting that the items should be outside ready for collection by Monday.
