Roland Louis Laurita
Roland Louis Laurita, age 57, of Farmington, Pa., passed away Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2009 in his home. He was born April 23, 1952 in Keisterville, Pa., the son of Rose Marie “Sally” Savage Laurita of Herbert, Pa. and the late Roland Laurita.
He retired from Clairton Steel after many years of service. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Brownville High School. He was a Gun Smith owning his own shop. He loved to ride his motorcycle. Roland enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed running and he built airplanes.
Roland is survived by his mother, “Sally”; his beloved wife, Regina Mollica Laurita; sons: Mario V. Laurita at home and Roland L. Laurita II and wife Christine of Belle Vernon, Pa.; two loving grandchildren: Gianna and Isabella; brothers: Michael Savage of Keisterville, Pa., Anthony Laurita and wife Kathy of Farmington, Pa. and Mark Laurita of Thompson, Pa.; sister: Mariann Turner and husband Bill of Uniontown, Pa. and several loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Joseph and Regina Mollica of Uniontown; brother-in-law and sister-in law: Joseph and Lisa Mollica of Uniontown; other relatives and many loving friends.
Friends will be received at the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. this, morning, October 7, 2009 until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father James L. Popochock as Celebrant.
Interment is private for the family.
