Flag removed
Masontown police said they are looking for a man who walked onto the grounds at the Masontown Elementary School Wednesday morning and removed an American flag from the school flagpole. Police Chief Joseph Ryan said that as the man removed the flag he allegedly told a teacher nearby that the flag was “a disgrace” before folding it and taking it from school property. Ryan said that the flag was in poor condition.
He said the suspect was described as a white man wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 724-583-7779.
