“Junior” Hughes
James E. “Junior” Hughes, 81 years, of Fairchance, Pa. died Friday, October 9, 2009 in the Uniontown Hospital. Born June 15, 1928 in Shoaf, Fayette County, Pennsylvania he was the son of James W. and Martha G. Price Hughes.
He was employed for many years as a Coal Miner until his retirement from United States Steel’s Maple Creek Mine.
“Junior” was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Betty E. Kissinger Hughes; one sister, Margaret Robinson; and one brother, Donald R. Hughes.
Surviving are his children: Sandy Hughes and Jimmy Hughes both at home; close niece, Kim Palo and husband Rick, Fairchance, Pa.; close nephew, Dale Crossland and wife Patty, Uniontown, Pa.; nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, October 13, 2009 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Paul Lesher officiating.
Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pennsylvania.
