Assault charges dismissed against Uniontown man

1 min read

All charges were dismissed Tuesday against an 18-year-old man accused of assaulting his girlfriend in Uniontown in August. Uniontown police Officer Frederick Kampert said Timothy Bradley of Uniontown was charged with simple assault, two counts of harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief following the incident on Aug. 22.

Kampert said the charges were filed after Bradley allegedly attacked his girlfriend, who was not identified, at a location on Esther Street.

During the altercation, Kampert said Bradley caused multiple injuries to the girl and also bit her face.

The charges were dismissed Tuesday during a preliminary hearing before Senior Magisterial District Judge Michael Rubish after the alleged victim failed to testify.

The alleged assault occurred a month after Uniontown police charged Bradley as an adult with attempted homicide.

Those charges were filed after Bradley, who was age 17 at the time, allegedly fired multiple gunshots at Robert Harris, 16, and Randy K. Dennis, 18, both of Uniontown, at a location on Murray Avenue on Uniontown on June 26, police said.

One of the bullets allegedly struck Dennis in the buttocks, police said.

Upon motions by Bradley’s attorney, Samuel J. Davis, the matter was eventually transferred to Fayette County Juvenile Court.
