George Grazier Blosser, Jr., 73, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his home. He was born on July 6, 1936 in Point Marion, son of George G. Blosser, Sr. and Nellie Black Blosser. He was the grandson of George E. Westfall Blosser and Emma Stewart Blosser and of Benjamin Franklin Black and Mary Eliza O’Neil Black.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was predeceased by his brothers; Dalton, Calvin, Neil and Robert Blosser and sisters Emma Elizabeth Blosser and Mary Jo Blosser Rice, sister-in-law, Chloe Davis Blosser and brother-in-law, John B. Rice.

George is survived by his sister, Norma Jeane Roso and her husband, Mario, Uniontown; a brother, Richard Blosser and his wife, Judy McClain Blosser, Maryville, TN; and sister-in-law, JoAnne Moore Blosser, Charleston, South Carolina.

George graduated from Point Marion High School, class of 1955. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea having been inducted on October 12, 1959 and was Honorably discharged on February 5, 1962. He was a graduate of West Virginia University Class of 1965 and received a B.A. degree. He lived in Richmond, Virginia and was employed by the Richfood Co. after which he returned to Point Marion. He was an avid music and animal lover, enjoyed every sport and was an excellent cook.

Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, Thomas B. Rudolph, Funeral Director and Supervisor, on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. the hour of a Memorial Service with Pastor Jay Polowsky of the United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Point Marion Cemetery, with military rites accorded at the gravesite by the Point Marion VFW 747 and the American Legion 499.
