Betty A. Doljac, age 81, of Uniontown, Pa died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. She was born on June 7, 1928, in Uniontown, Pa. Her mother, Helen Filcheck, preceded her in death.

She was a lifelong member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and had attended Saint John High School.

For many years, she worked for the J.K. Packing Produce Company.

Her home was a place of warmth and comfort where no one ever left hungry. She was a terrific cook, a wonderful wife, and “the best” mother, grandmother and great grand-mother. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Joseph N. Doljac; a son, Joseph D. Doljac and his wife Bernie and one daughter, Carol Bakos and her companion Ray Bobick all of Uniontown, Pa.; three grandchildren: Steven Joseph Doljac and wife Lavonne, Kevin Doljac and wife Jane, Paul “Paully” Bakos all of Uniontown, Pa.; a great-grandson, Steven Joseph Doljac Jr.; two step brothers; two step sisters; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind “Tabby”, her special pet.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa. today (October 15) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, October 16, 2009 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pa., with the Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
