Genevieve M. “Jean” Marshall Sines
Genevieve M. “Jean” (Weaver) Marshall Sines, 80, of Smithfield, Pennsylvania died on her birthday, Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at her home. Born in 1929 in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Harry Weaver and Florence Pancoast Weaver.
A graduate of University High School, she was a loving Mother and Grandmother, fully devoted to her Family.
“Jean” loved to laugh, and will long be remembered for her beautiful smile and her wonderful sense of humor.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Oval O. “Pete” Marshall; her second husband, Robert J. Sines; son, Kenneth W. Marshall; daughter, Debra Sines in infancy; granddaughter, Roberta “Bobbie” Phillips; a great-granddaughter, Tomi Lynn McCartney; and a sister, Doris “Cork” Snyder Smith.
Surviving are her two sons and their wives: James and Cindy Marshall of Lake Lynn, Pa., David and Lena Marshall, Point Marion, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Reaver Reva Marshall of Smithfield, Pa.; eight grand-children, sixteen great grand-children and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Weaver of Laurel Point, West Virginia; and her furry little buddy, “Lucky”.
Family will receive Friends in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME in Point Marion today from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, October 17, 2009 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. R. Scott Teets officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, Pennsylvania.
