Daniel Joseph “Muggs” McGuinness, 43 of Connellsville, Pa., passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, October 15, 2009 in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh due to a brain aneurysm. He was born October 27, 1965 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Hazel L. (Marietta) McGuinness of Ohiopyle and the late Richard “Muggs” McGuinness, who passed away in 2001.

Muggs was a lifelong resident of Connellsville and was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1985. He was a self employed Asphalt Sealer. He was a former member of the Immaculate Conception R. C. Church in Connellsville and was attending the Connellsville Church of the Brethren.

In addition to his mother Muggs is survived by his wife Jocelyn Mullen McGuinness, his children Regan andCayden McGuinness both living at home, his brothers and sisters Michael McGuinness and wife Gabriela of Boise ID., Colleen Kenny and husband Jim of Scottdale, Michelle Walls and Kim McGuinness both of Connellsville, Marci McGuin-ness of Ohiopyle, Marta McGuinness of Connellsville, Kelly McGuinness and Anna McGuinness both of Ohiopyle, his mother – in – law Anita Mullen of Connellsville, his sister-in-law Cheri Mullen of Connellsville, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father Muggs was predeceased by his father-in-law Arthur J. Mullen.

Family and friends will be received (today) Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2- 9 p.m., in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St. Connellsville, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Charles Whipple officiating.
