Shut off announced

1 min read

In brief Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will shut off the water between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the Dearth and New Salem areas to upgrade the water system. The authority said customers may experience low pressure or no water, and advises them to keep containers of water on hand to minimize the outage.

U.S. Rep. John P. Murtha, D-Johnstown, will be hosting a telephone town hall from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday for 40,000 households in Fayette, Greene, and Washington Counties.

This is the fourth in a series of telephone town halls that will provide constituents of the 12th Congressional District a chance to participate in a question-and-answer session on a range of issues with the congressman Murtha.

Murtha will provide an update on current legislation and then open it up for questions.
