Kenneth Glenn Trimble
Kenneth Glenn Trimble, 85, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 19, 2009. He was born September 6, 1924, in Swoope, Virginia.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William David Trimble and Lillie Belle Redifer Trimble; one sister, Lillie Mae Trimble; and four brothers: William Trimble, George Trimble, Mondell Trimble and Robert Trimble.
Mr. Trimble was a member of the Cherry Tree Alliance Church and also the Fayette County Golfer’s Association.
Prior to his retirement, he had been a Salesman with the Stroehmann Baking Company for many years.
Kenneth was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather
He was an avid golfer who loved life and people, friends and strangers alike, and had always hoped to live to be 100.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Elizabeth Burke Trimble; a son, Ronald Trimble and wife Glenda of Frisco, Texas; three daughters Barbara Jean Rockwell and her husband William whom Kenneth thought of as a son, Karen Lee Trimble and Gayle Ann Trimble all of Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren: Billy Rockwell and wife Samantha, Kimberly Coffman, Jeffrey Trimble and family, Gregory Trimble and family; great grandchildren: Tyler Coffman, Brayden Coffman and Ryan Rockwell; two sisters: Mary Kate Hangar of Mount Sydney, Virginia and Lorraine Bast of Annapolis, Maryland; also several nieces and nephews; and Cody the dog he loved.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME at 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Visitation on Friday, October 23, 2009 will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the CHERRY TREE ALLIANCE CHURCH, Cherry Tree Lane, South Uniontown. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jack Herman officiating assisted by the Rev. Robert W. Ellenberger.
Interment will be private at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7829 National Pike, Suite 2, Uniontown, PA 15401 or to the Kidney Association.
Visitation was also held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
