Francis E. Bane
Francis E. Bane, 83 years, of Brownsville, Centerville Borough, Pennsylvania went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 19, 2009 from Presbyterian Senior Care Washington, Pennsylvania. Born on December 13, 1925 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania he was the son of John D. Bane and Elizabeth Jones Bane.
Mr.Bane had been employed by Hillman Barge Company of Brownsville as a Grinder and Toolman and retired in 1988 after 29 years of service.
He was a longtime member of the Bible Baptist Church in Hiller, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bane enjoyed reading, gardening, working in his yard
On April 28, 1951 Francis married Nancy O. Gillis Bane, who survives.
Also surviving are sisters: Betty Whetsel of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Joann Morris of Marianna, Pennsylvania; two brothers: Donald H. Bane and wife Irene of Uniontown, James M. Bane of Uniontown; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his parents; a brother, Robert O. Bane; and a sister, Lillian Bane Johnson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, Pennsylvania where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow in Westland Cemetery.
