Danforth, 89, was born in Rices Landing, Cumberland Township High School graduate, World War II United States Army veteran, worked most of his life on tow boats on the Monongahela River, died Thursday, October 22, 2009. Survivors: wife, Gladys A. Cales Danforth; son, Mark A. Danforth; grandchildren: Theresa and Walter Maskil, Clinton and Rhonda Danforth, Jeffrey Danforth (and Patty); sisters: Bernice and Barry Barnhart, Ellen “Corky” Carpenter, Mary “Booty” Herilla, Judy Burkhart; niecesnephews
