Students decorate mall windows

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

Several Fayette County Area Vocational-Technical School students recently decorated storefront windows in Uniontown Mall with logos and depictions of United Way of South Fayette partner agencies. The following students undertook the project: Cullen Masney and Adam Nickelson of the Albert Gallatin Area School District; Brenda Dugan and Harley Kennedy of the Brownsville Area School District; Allen Rockwell, Stephanie Cumberland, Kayla Umbaugh and Raheem Watson of the Laurel Highlands School District; and Felicia Pirl of the Uniontown Area School District.

They are members of David Bowers’ graphic arts class.

“I think the students did a wonderful job,” said Sue Quinn, campaign associate with the United Way of South Fayette.

According to Quinn, students researched each agency to obtain the agency logo and learn more about what they do in the community.

The artwork is located on storefronts directly inside the mall’s main entrance to Roomful Express Furniture.

The artwork will be up throughout the holiday season, Quinn said.
