Windows smashed

South Union Twp. State police said vandals broke two windows at the residence of Jennifer Gabeletto on Bryson Boulevard Sunday afternoon. North Union Twp. Burglary reported

State police said someone broke into a home owned by Tadd Kezmarsky of Uniontown and stole pipe from the residence Oct. 11 or Oct. 12.

Connellsville Charges filed

Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated incidents:

n John David Maki, 21, of East Keefer Road, with retail theft after he allegedly attempted to remove $12 worth of merchandise from Nickman’s Drug Store on Oct. 13 without paying for the items.

Police said Maki was apprehended by store security.

n Jason Meade, 31, of Hyndman Street, South Connellsville, with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated in Gibson Terrace on Oct. 11.

n Michelle Jordan, 38, of Gibson Terrace with endangering the welfare of children, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she allegedly left her special needs child alone on Oct. 13. Police said when officers attempted to take her into custody, Jordan allegedly fought with police.

n Jason S. Clark, 34, North Pittsburgh Street, with burglary and criminal trespass after he was allegedly found Oct. 14 hiding in the basement of an East Crawford Avenue residence.

n Melvin Nicholson Sr., 45, of Lawn Avenue with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found lying on Morrell Avenue in an intoxicated condition on Oct. 14.

n Boyd E. Lilley, 44, Quail Hill Road, with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated on the West Crawford Avenue bridge on Oct. 18.

n Keri M. Cronin, 27, of Hummell Street, Brownsville with retail theft after she was allegedly observed by Family Dollar Store employees concealing store merchandise in a child’s backpack during an Oct. 20 incident.

Police said that officers recovered $46 in merchandise.

North Union Twp. Crash reported

State police said no one was injured when a vehicle driven by Deborah Smith of Uniontown and a minivan collided on North Gallatin Avenue Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the minivan was not identified.

Springhill Twp. Woman charged

Krystal Darnell, 21, of Uniontown was charged with harassment after she struck Keith Pettit of McClellandtown in the head during an argument on York Run Road Friday morning, state police said.

Bullskin Twp. Woman injured

State police said Helen McKnight was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for injuries after the vehicle she was driving crashed on Route 119 on Oct. 14.

South Union Twp. Items stolen

Cherie Clifford of Uniontown told police that items were stolen from her car while it was parked on Vernon Street between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, state police said.

North Union Twp. Woman charged

State police said Brandi Jean Closson, 36, of Farmington was charged with drunken driving after she was found under the influence of alcohol following a traffic accident on North Gallatin Avenue July 31.

East Huntingdon Camera stolen

Ruth Shannon of Scottdale told police that her camera was stolen from a location in East Huntingdon Township on Oct. 4, state police said.

New Stanton Vehicle scratched

Vandals damaged a vehicle owned by Jeffrey Bailey of Scottdale while it was parked at a business in New Stanton between 2 p.m. Oct. 20 and 2 a.m. Thursday, state police said.

North Strabane Twp. Man charged

State police said William Kusmirak of Belle Vernon was charged with disorderly conduct after he repeatedly punched a slot machine at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino on Racetrack Road Thursday evening.

Franklin Twp. Money stolen

State police said money was stolen from three vending machines outside a business on Sugar Run Road in Franklin Township, Greene County, between 12:20 and 12:35 a.m. Sunday.

Dunkard Twp. Cars collide

No one was injured when vehicles driven by David Carpenter and Andrew Shuppe, both of Dilliner, collided on Route 2011 Oct. 21, state police said.

Franklin Twp. Window damaged

Nathaniel Kirby of Waynesburg told police that vandals smashed a window of his vehicle while it was parked on Sugar Run Road in Franklin Township, Greene County, between 11 p.m. Oct. 20 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 21, state police said.

Cumberland Twp Knife stolen

Mary Kolat of Carmichaels told police that a pocketknife was stolen from her car while it was parked on Browns Ferry Road Oct. 17 or Oct. 18, state police said.

Franklin Twp. Theft reported

Digital equipment owned by David Cornish of Nemacolin and Benjamin Gray of Waynesburg was stolen from a vehicle parked in Franklin Township, Greene County, between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Oct. 21, state police said.

Franklin Twp. Items stolen

State police said construction equipment owned by Clearwater Construction of Mercer was stolen from a construction site in Franklin Township, Greene County, between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Monday.

Waynesburg Report issued

State police in Greene County conducted a sobriety checkpoint Saturday in multiple areas in the county.

Police reported that during the operation, participating officers made three arrests for drunken driving and issued 13 traffic citations.
