Uniontown man waives sex charges

By The 1 min read

A Uniontown man accused of sexually assaulting a South Union Township woman waived all charges against him to court Wednesday. State police Trooper Kiprian Yarosh said Christopher Samuel Jordan, 59, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. with indecent assault and open lewdness following the alleged incident Sept. 8.

Jordan waived all charges against him to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing Wednesday before George.

According to Yarosh, the charges were filed after Jordan groped and fondled a 51-year-old woman.

Yarosh said the woman was walking past Jordan’s apartment between 7:30 and 8 p.m. when he beckoned her inside. She told police that while inside the residence, Jordan forced himself on her and also exposed himself to her.

The Herald-Standard does not identify the victims of alleged sexual assault.
