Evelyn (Weller) Tracy
Evelyn (Weller) Tracy, 100 years old, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at The Madison Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born on February 1, 1909 in Farmington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Rev. Marshall Weller and Martha (Hager) Weller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marling Tracy in 1978 and a grandson Brian Hahn in 1999.
Evelyn outlived six brothers and sisters: Carl, Everett, Dale, Roy, Mamie and Dorothy.
Evelyn lived most of her life in New Salem, Pennsylvania and the past eight years in The Village at Heritage Point in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was the oldest member of New Salem Presbyterian Church and during her life she served as elder, deacon and Sunday School teacher. She was also an associate member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church of Morgantown. She was a Past Matron of Uniontown Chapter No. 263 Order of Eastern Star and also Mother Advisor of Rainbow Girls.
She is survived by her daughters: Arlene Hahn and husband Arthur of Morgantown, West Virginia and Maxine Zammerilla of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandchildren: Larry Hahn and wife Donna of Ft. Myers, Florida, Bradley Hahn and wife Elizabeth of Orefield, Pennsylvania and Michelle Sileo and husband Mark of Maywood, New Jersey; four great-grandchildren: Timothy Hahn, Dennis Hahn, Dennis Hahn, Samuel Hahn and Justin Sileo.
Friends will be received at DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem (today) Friday, October 30, 2009 from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 10 to 10:300 a.m.
Funeral services will follow in NEW SALEM PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH at 11 a.m. with her Pastor, Rev. Norma P. Murphy officiating.
Interment will follow in Salem View Cemetery.
Uniontown Chapter No. 263 Order of Eastern Star will conduct services in the Funeral Home Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions in Evelyn’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Village at Heritage Point at a later date.
