David Wayne Springer
David Wayne Springer, age 59, of Hopwood, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 in Health South, Monroeville. Born on November 16, 1949 in Uniontown, Pa., he was the son of Faye McCartney Springer of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and the late Rolland M. Springer.
David was a member of Laurel Lodge 651 F. & A. M., in Uniontown and the Third Presbyterian Church.
He had been employed with Solomon Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge in Brownsville and Carmichaels.
David served in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Nina Hawk Springer; two children: Eric David Springer and Colby Michael Springer both at home; one brother, Rolland Morgan “Terry” Springer and wife Anna Mae of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two sisters: Debora Lynne Springer Leary and husband Charles, Elkins, West Virginia andLori Beth Springer Schiano and husband John, Uniontown, Pa.; nephews: Scott Springer, Seth Springer, Giovanni Schiano and Guiseppe Schiano
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pennsylvania today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues Friday, September 11, in the THIRD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Union Street, Uniontown, Pa., from 10 until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Chris Enoch and Rev. William Rodahaver officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, where the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, Pa., will conduct Military Services.
Laurel Lodge No. 651 will hold Masonic Services in the Funeral Home today at 7 p.m.
Visitation was also held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
