George C. McCarty
George C. McCarty, age 72, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and formerly of Garrison, Texas passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009. George was born September 18, 1936 in Garrison, Texas the son of William Earl McCarty and Lena (Cordell) McCarty.
George grew up in El Paso, Texas and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years.
In 2000, he retired from the Federal Government (General Services Administration) and moved to Uniontown.
He became ill in 2004, and for the last several months has been in the Veterans Hospice and Palative Care Unit at the Veterans Affairs John Heinz Division, Aspinwall, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; two of seven Children; and several Brothers and Sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadette “BJ” (Miklos) McCarty of Uniontown; and two Sons: David M. McCarty of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and Zackary S. McCarty of Dundalk, Maryland.

Burial will take place in Fort Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, Texas.
