Bobbie Jean (Battisti) Sapp
Bobbie Jean Battisti Sapp, 64, of Morgantown, W.Va., formerly of Point Marion, Pa., when home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 14, 2009 with her loving family at her side. Born in Morgantown on August 10, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Huntley Battisti.
Bobbie was Pentecostal by faith. She loved going to church, singing and playing the accordion and organ. Bobbie enjoyed bingo and other activities at The Madison Nursing Home, where she resided. She especially loved spending time with her devoted sister, Bonnie, who lovingly cared for her and watched over her throughout her illness.
Bobbie was also very proud of her sons and grandchildren. She brought joy to those who loved her, and was known for her “ornery” personality and courageous strong will as she battled complications from her diabetes. She will be sadly missed by her family.
She is survived by her sister and spouse, Bonnie and Bob Musick, of Morgantown; four sons and their spouses: Rob and Tara Sapp of Point Marion, Tony and Angel Sapp of Columbus, Ohio, Curtis and Carley VanSickle of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Robert “Dubbie” Sapp of Albion, Pa.; 11 grandchildren: Joshua, Hunter, Tony II, Venny, Paige, Victoria, Diana, Kirsten, Rusty, Marissa and Trey, and a niece, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Donham of Morgantown.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion (today) Wednesday from 6 9 p.m., and Thursday until from 11 12 noon, the hour of service, with her brother-in-law,Reverend Robert Musick and Reverend Joseph Donham officiating. Interment follows in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield.
