Clara B. Strickler, 101 of Arnold City, Belle Vernon, Pa., died Monday, September 21, 2009 in Mon Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Twp. She was born March 17, 1908 in Lower Tyrone Twp., a daughter of the late Albert Thompson and the late Mamie Keffer Thompson. She was a member of the Fundamental Bible Church, Perryopolis.

Surviving are two sons: William Strickler of Belle Vernon and James Strickler of Vanderbilt; three daughters: Betty Lerch of Vanderbilt, Anna Lee Fike of Mentor, Ohio and Darlene Diethorn of Belle Vernon; 24 grandchildren and many numerous great-great-grand-children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Strickler, son, Bud Strickler and daughter, Shirley Crouch.

Friends ill be received in the ELEY/McCRORY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Additional viewing will take place Friday, September 25, 2009 in the Fundamental Bible Church, Perryopolis, Pa. from 10 till 11 a.m. the hour of services with Pastor Daniel Gates officiating.
