South Union Twp. Crash reported

State police said a car driven by Arthur Campbell of Orient struck a guardrail on Route 119 at 11:24 a.m. Monday.

Dunbar Twp.

Box found

State police said they found a metal locked box on Route 119 in Dunbar Township Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with information regarding the box can call police at 724-439-7111.

Franklin Twp.

Man cited

Harry Lee Moore, 32, of Waynesburg was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct following an altercation with Melissa Temple, also of Waynesburg, at a location on Third Street in Franklin Township, Greene County, Wednesday evening, state police said.

Franklin Twp.

Teen cited

State police said an unidentified teenager was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct following an incident at the Waynesburg Central High School in Franklin Township, Greene County, at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday.

Connellsville

Charges filed

Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated incidents:

n Michael Paul Forquer Jr., 40, of Connellsville with retail theft after he allegedly tried to remove an item Sept. 20 from Nickman?s Drug Store without paying for it.

Police said that store security apprehended Forquer before he left the store.

n Harold ?Butchy? Nicholson Jr., 47, of Connellsville with simple assault and harassment after he alleged caused injury to an unidentified woman and threatened a second woman during a Sept. 21 incident in the 200 block of South Carnegie Avenue. Nicholson was arraigned on the charges before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty and released on a $5,000 recognizance bond.

n Ryan Smith Cline, 18, of North Carolina with retail theft after he allegedly tried to remove a $4 item from the Family Dollar Store on Sept. 23. Police said that store employees apprehended Cline before he left the store.

n Elizabeth Mae Schmidt, 51, of Dawson with giving false reports to police during a Sept. 19 traffic stop.

Police allege that Schmidt gave a false name and other false information about her identity.

South Union Twp.

Charges filed

State police have charged Robert K. Harsman of Connellsville with disorderly conduct following an incident at 10:54 a.m. Friday at Wal-Mart when Harsman and a woman were involved in a disturbance and Harsman fled on foot when approached by police.

Police apprehended Harsman in the parking lot. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George.

South Union Twp.

Woman charged

State police charged Amber Everly, 23, of Uniontown with theft after she allegedly stole $80 in cash at 10:15 a.m. Friday from a file cabinet in an office at the Association for Retarded Citizens, 80 Old New Salem Road.

North Union Twp.

Tires slashed

State police said someone slashed four tires on a work van owned by J.K. Packing of Uniontown between 5 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-439-7111.

Bullskin Twp.

Driver sought

State police reported an unknown driver traveled off the southern berm of Breakneck Road at 2:25 a.m. Friday and struck an embankment before striking a utility pole and shearing it in half.

Police said the vehicle continued onto the embankment and back on the road, crossing the westbound lane and striking a guardrail along the northern berm. The driver fled the scene.

Nicholson Twp.

Driver charged

State police charged Brent Lee Ruble, 37, of Smithfield with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped for a traffic violation at 9:30 p.m. Thursday and found to be intoxicated.

Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham?s office.

South Union Twp.

Two charged

State police charged Shannon Reda, 25 and Doris Roach, 37, both of Carmichaels, with retail theft after an incident at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 when Reda, an employee at Gabriel Brothers, allegedly passed clothing items through a scanner that Roach laid on the counter without actually scanning them and departed the store without paying.
